Abstract

Rational nutrition of industrial workers is a critical factor influencing their working capacity, resistance to occupational hazards, and prevention of chronic diseases. This is particularly relevant for enterprises with physically demanding and hazardous working conditions, such as electric cable factories. The present review article summarizes domestic and international studies focused on the hygienic assessment of dietary structure, food intake conditions, and sanitary status of factory canteens and dining areas. Special attention is paid to the mismatch between the energy value and biological adequacy of workers’ diets and their actual physiological needs, as well as to sanitary and technical deficiencies in the organization of meals. The article analyzes key strategies for optimization, including the introduction of diets tailored to the intensity and harmfulness of labor, improvement of sanitary infrastructure, and educational programs on healthy nutrition. The findings highlight the importance of an integrated approach to organizing nutrition at electric cable enterprises as a vital component of workplace health promotion and disease prevention.
