Botulism is poisoning by waste products of bacteria of the species Clostridium botulinum. Botulism bacteria contain one of the most powerful poisons in nature - botulinum toxin. Botulism is accompanied by symptoms of damage to the central and autonomic nervous system. In other words, this is a serious, potentially fatal disease that requires timely diagnosis and emergency care.
