Abstract: This review article examines current advances in phage therapy and nanotechnology as promising approaches to combating infections associated with medical implants. The article analyzes the results of experimental and clinical studies on the use of bacteriophages for the selective destruction of antibiotic-resistant microorganisms that form biofilms on the surface of implantable devices. Particular attention is paid to the use of nanomaterials and nanocoatings with antimicrobial properties, as well as combined technologies for delivering bacteriophages using nanoparticles and biocompatible carriers. This paper summarizes data on the mechanisms of action, advantages, and limitations of innovative approaches, as well as prospects for their implementation in clinical practice. It is demonstrated that the combination of phage therapy and nanotechnology opens new possibilities for the prevention and treatment of implant-associated infections in the face of growing antibiotic resistance.
