THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH IN TEACHING RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

This article examines the role and effectiveness of the communicative approach in teaching Russian as a foreign language. The author analyses the key principles of the communicative approach and compares it with the traditional grammar-translation method. The article emphasises the importance of developing students' speech activity and creating authentic communicative situations. The experimental results demonstrated that the communicative approach significantly enhances learners' oral and written language skills.
