Abstract

This article examines the formation and development of Jadid press in Turkestan at the beginning of the twentieth century and its role in the processes of national awakening. The Jadid press served as an important means of promoting enlightenment, modern educational reforms, national identity, and socio-political awareness. The activities of publications such as Taraqqiy, Sadoyi Turkiston, Hurriyat, and Oyina are analyzed to highlight their contribution to social and cultural progress. The findings demonstrate that the Jadid press played a crucial role in shaping national consciousness and fostering ideas of independence among the peoples of Turkestan.
