Abstract

Intercultural communication plays a significant role in modern global society where representatives of different cultures interact in educational, professional, and social environments. Communication styles vary across cultures due to differences in language, traditions, values, social norms, and historical development. This article presents a comparative analysis of intercultural communication styles in English and Karakalpak cultures. The study examines verbal and nonverbal communication patterns, politeness strategies, interpersonal relationships, and cultural values influencing communication behavior in both cultures. Special attention is given to the concepts of directness and indirectness, individualism and collectivism, attitudes toward hierarchy, and the role of hospitality and respect in communication. The article also analyzes the influence of globalization and digital technologies on intercultural interaction between representatives of English-speaking and Karakalpak communities.
