This scientific article provides a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the effects of obesity on the cardiovascular system from the perspectives of modern cardiology, endocrinology, and preventive medicine. Obesity is recognized as one of the most widespread chronic health conditions worldwide and a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. The increasing prevalence of obesity is associated with sedentary lifestyles, unhealthy nutrition, chronic stress, and metabolic disorders.
The study thoroughly examines the mechanisms underlying obesity development, including energy imbalance, excessive caloric intake, reduced physical activity, genetic predisposition, and hormonal disturbances. Special attention is given to adipose tissue as an active endocrine organ capable of producing biologically active substances such as adipokines and pro-inflammatory cytokines that affect vascular function and metabolism.
