Abstract

Acting techniques play an essential role in theatre and film performance. They provide actors with practical and psychological methods for creating believable characters and expressing emotions effectively. Over the years, various acting techniques have been developed by theatre practitioners and educators to improve the quality of performance and actor training. This article analyzes several major acting techniques commonly used in modern theatre, including method acting, classical acting, improvisational acting, and physical acting. The study explores their characteristics, training principles, and influence on actor performance. The results show that each acting technique focuses on different aspects of acting such as emotional memory, voice control, spontaneity, and body movement. Understanding these techniques allows actors to develop versatile skills and adapt to different theatrical styles and performance environments.
