Abstract

This article examines the hybridization processes observed in contemporary toponymy through the interaction of Uzbek and English linguistic systems. The study explores how globalization, migration, digital communication, tourism, and socio-cultural integration contribute to the emergence of mixed geographical names that combine lexical, phonetic, semantic, and structural elements from both languages. The research focuses on the transformation of traditional Uzbek place names under the influence of English and the adaptation of English-origin toponyms within the Uzbek linguistic environment. Comparative, sociolinguistic, and linguocultural approaches are employed to analyze the mechanisms of hybrid toponym formation and their role in expressing cultural identity and linguistic modernization.
