A LINGUOCULTURAL ANALYSIS OF THE CONCEPTS OF “HONESTY” AND “THEFT” IN UZBEK AND ENGLISH

this article explores the linguocultural representation of the concepts of “honesty” and “theft” in Uzbek and English languages. These concepts are deeply rooted in moral, social, and cultural values, and their verbalization reflects the worldview of each linguistic community. The study examines lexical units, phraseological expressions, proverbs, and contextual meanings to identify similarities and differences between the two cultures. The analysis demonstrates that while both languages emphasize moral integrity and condemn dishonesty, their linguistic expressions reveal unique cultural nuances.
