Abstract

Latin has historically served as the foundation of international medical terminology. Despite the development of modern national languages in scientific communication, Latin remains widely used in clinical, anatomical, and pharmaceutical terminology. A significant number of medical terms originate from Latin and Ancient Greek roots, which makes the study of Latin an important component of medical education. The purpose of this article is to analyze effective pedagogical methods used in teaching clinical terminology in Latin to medical students. The paper examines both traditional and modern teaching approaches, including grammatical analysis, translation methods, structural analysis of medical terms, contextual learning, and interactive teaching technologies. The results indicate that combining classical and innovative pedagogical strategies significantly improves students’ understanding of medical terminology and enhances their professional communication skills.
