“CONTINUITY OF LITERARY HERITAGE: THE FIGURE OF ALISHER NAVOI IN THE WORKS OF GAFUR GULOM”

Abstract

This article examines the influence of the work of Alisher Navoi, a prominent representative of Uzbek literature, a great poet, and thinker, on the writings of Gafur Gulom. The study analyzes how Gafur Gulom artistically interprets the figure of Navoi, his role in Gulom’s works, and his significance for younger generations. It also reviews Gulom’s essays, including “Taxti safar”, “Buyuk ustoz”, and “Navoiy va zamonamiz”, as well as his literary works such as “Farxod va Shirin”, “Tun bilan tong”, and “Alisher”, highlighting their role in promoting Navoi’s legacy. The article approaches the issue of preserving literary heritage and passing it on to future generations from a scholarly perspective.
