Abstract

This article analyzes the prevalent issues observed in the speech culture of the youth in our country. Specifically, it examines the widespread use of vulgarisms and barbarisms in speech, as well as the integration of foreign loanwords with the norms of the literary language. The negative impact of such processes on youth speech and their social consequences are highlighted. Furthermore, the article analyzes the penetration of spelling errors and abbreviated forms of writing—common in modern social networks—into the culture of speech. The paper offers reflections on effective measures aimed at preventing mass illiteracy and underscores the advantages and social significance of the literary speech style.
