Abstract

This article analyzes the social status, rights, and roles of women in Bukhara from ancient times through the nineteenth and twentieth centuries as reflected in historical sources. The study examines facts related to women from socio-political, legal, and cultural perspectives, including issues of property ownership, education, legal rights systems, and women’s place in society.
