Abstract

 today, English is one of the most widely spoken and influential languages in the world. It is used as a global means of communication in education, science, business, and technology. However, the English language has a long and fascinating history that began many centuries ago.The aim of this paper is to explore the origin and early history of the English language and to show how it developed from its ancient roots into the modern language spoken today.
