Abstract

This article explores the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into modern language teaching, emphasizing its role in fostering global citizenship and promoting education for sustainability. It highlights how interdisciplinary learning can bridge linguistic education with broader social, environmental, and economic issues, preparing students to address global challenges. The paper also examines the prospects and challenges of incorporating SDGs into language curricula, such as developing critical thinking, cultural awareness, and problem-solving skills. The discussion underscores the importance of equipping learners with the tools to contribute meaningfully to sustainable development while enhancing their linguistic competencies.
