This article provides a comprehensive comparative analysis of periodontology teaching methodologies in leading international universities and medical higher education institutions of Uzbekistan. Given the global relevance of periodontal diseases, which affect a significant portion of the world's population and have systemic health consequences, modernization of medical education is becoming a key factor in improving the quality of preventive care. The article analyzes and compares traditional and creative approaches to teaching, such as problem-based learning (PBL), simulation technologies, blended learning, and the integration of scientific research into the educational process. Based on the analysis of the curricula of the University of Michigan (USA), University College London (UK), the Academic Center of Dentistry Amsterdam (Netherlands) and data on universities of Uzbekistan (TSSI, ASMI, Samara State Medical University, Bashkortostan State Medical University), key differences in the structure of the curriculum, technological equipment and pedagogical strategies are identified. In conclusion, specific recommendations are offered for the modernization of the periodontology teaching system in Uzbekistan, aimed at increasing the competencies of future specialists and, as a result, improving the dental health of the population.
