Abstract

Viral hepatitis C (HCV) in adolescents is a pressing health problem due to the possible transition of the infection to a chronic form and the risk of developing serious complications in the future (cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma). This article highlights the features of the clinical course of HCV in adolescence, diagnostic approaches and modern methods of therapy, including the use of direct-acting antiviral drugs (DAA). Issues of prevention and dispensary observation are also considered.
