Abstract

This article analyzes the formation process of terminology in the field of information technology, the methods of translation and adaptation, as well as the features of their usage in modern Uzbek. The author explores the linguistic and practical foundations for creating Uzbek equivalents of IT terms. In addition, the article discusses existing terminological issues such as inconsistency, lack of stability, and the absence of normative sources, and offers suggestions for addressing them. The role of translational, assimilative, and neological methods is examined, and the necessity of developing a national terminological system is substantiated.
