This research investigates the critical role of assessment in language education, emphasizing its continuous nature and its impact on both course objectives and individual learner progress. This paper explores various language assessment tools, including a learner assessment profile, a critique of an existing test, and a modified version of that test. The findings contribute to understanding how assessment informs teaching practices and enhances learner outcomes, ultimately leading to more effective instructional strategies. Suggestions for future improvements and additional resources are also provided to support ongoing research in this field.
