Abstract

French fairy tales play a significant role in conveying respect through linguistic expressions, speech etiquette, and social behavior. The study highlights how formal address forms, modal verbs, and respectful phrases contribute to the refined communication of deference and courtesy in these texts. Additionally, royal etiquette and traditional speech patterns further reinforce the cultural and hierarchical aspects of respect. Successfully translating these nuances requires a deep understanding of linguistics and cultural sensitivity to accurately preserve the intended meaning.
