THE FUNCTION OF ARTISTIC DETAIL IN I. BUNIN'S STORY "IN PARIS"

The article is devoted to the analysis of one detail (overcoat) in the story by I.A. Bunin "In Paris", which is part of the writer's cycle of stories "Dark Alleys". Particular importance is given to the semantic content of the analyzed detail as a way of additional understanding of the ideological and artistic sound of the story. Also, characteristic features of the detail "overcoat" in the system of the depicted world of the work of I.A. Bunin are noted.
