Abstract

The main purpose of first aid in electric shock injuries is to save the victim's life and avoid serious injuries. Electric shock injuries can often lead to serious consequences such as cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, as well as skin burns. These include providing safety to the most important steps in first aid, turning off the power source, calling for medical attention, and providing CPR (artificial respiration and heart repair) to the injured person. The article cites indications of how to help if the injured person has burns.
