Abstract

The article presents modern views on the features of treatment and prevention of initial caries and chronic catarrhal gingivitis with herbal preparations. The role of microorganisms of dental plaque in the occurrence and development of caries and periodontal diseases is noted. One of the most promising areas of preventive medicine at present is the use of herbal preparations with bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, reparative action in combination with the absence of side effects.
