ORGANIZING INDEPENDENT LEARNING TO DEVELOP NATIONAL VALUES IN STUDENTS THROUGH MAHMUD KASHGARI’S DEVONU LUGOTIT TURK

It is appropriate to effectively use methods that help shape students' worldview, develop their personalities in all aspects, and enrich their knowledge. One of these methods is independent work. Independent work is a brief written or oral summary of a scientific work, article, or the content of a book, which serves as a scientific informational task. Independent work involves the analysis of relevant literature and sources. It includes not only the discussion of a specific topic but also the analysis of the relevant theory and conclusions, as well as offering opinions on controversial issues and critiquing certain matters.One of such invaluable works is the Devonu Lugotit Turk by Mahmud Kashgari, a comprehensive Turkologist and scholar of the XI th century. The work not only contains the languages of the tribes and nations of the XI th century but also embodies the national customs of that time and, in a single word, is a collection of great values that has not lost its significance today.
