Abstract

This article explores the relationship between self-perception and social identity among young people. It delves into how individuals in this age group develop their sense of self and their social identity, influenced by various internal and external factors such as family, peers, media, and societal expectations. Through a review of existing literature and an analysis of current trends, the paper highlights the complex interplay between individual self-concept and group affiliations. The findings suggest that social identity plays a pivotal role in shaping the self-perception of young people, which can significantly impact their mental health, relationships, and overall well-being.
