Invasive and non-invasive methods of research are used to diagnose fibrosis in alcoholic liver disease (ALD). The article highlights the current state of the problem, analyzes the literature to assess the diagnostic accuracy of non-invasive methods, and presents data from an original study of ultrasound elastography of the liver.
