THE ESSENCE OF ARTISTIC TRANSLATION IN TRANSLATION

This article provides information about the role of literary translation in literary studies and translation studies, its formation as an independent science, and its relations and connections with other disciplines. Also, the concepts of equivalence and adequacy in literary translation, the portrait of a literary translator, and the relationship to the problem of untranslatability in translation are reflected.
