COMPARATIVE MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF PARANASAL SINUSES: A STUDY ON HUMAN AND ANIMAL CADAVERS
Keywords:
Paranasal sinuses, morphological analysis, comparative studyAbstract
This study aims to compare the morphological features of paranasal sinuses in human and animal cadavers, shedding light on potential similarities and differences between species. Paranasal sinuses are complex structures located in the skull, serving various functions such as humidifying and filtering air, enhancing vocal resonance, and reducing skull weight. Understanding the morphological variations across different species can provide valuable insights into evolutionary adaptations and comparative anatomy. In this comparative study, human and animal cadavers were meticulously examined using anatomical dissection and imaging techniques. The dimensions, shapes, and locations of the paranasal sinuses were analyzed and compared between the two groups. Additionally, histological examinations were performed to investigate tissue composition and cellular structure. The findings of this study contribute to our understanding of the anatomical variations in paranasal sinuses and may have implications for clinical practices, evolutionary biology, and veterinary medicine.
