This critical analysis delves into the engagement of women within Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in India. SEZs are designated areas aimed at promoting industrialization and economic growth. However, the implications of women's participation within these zones remain understudied. Through a multidimensional exploration, combining socio-economic, gender, and policy lenses, this research scrutinizes the extent, nature, and challenges of women's engagement in SEZs. By critically assessing the socio-economic impacts and policy frameworks, this study contributes to a nuanced understanding of gender dynamics within the context of India's SEZs.
