This paper examines the multifaceted impact of technology on English language learning (ELL), analyzing how digital innovations reshape pedagogical methods and learner experiences. As English solidifies its role as a global lingua franca, technology emerges as a powerful enabler of accessible, efficient, and personalized language acquisition. Through the use of artificial intelligence (AI), mobile applications, virtual reality (VR), and speech recognition tools, technology offers solutions to longstanding challenges in traditional education. The paper explores key benefits such as individualized instruction, authentic language exposure, and flexible learning opportunities, while also addressing barriers like digital inequality and overdependence on automation. Ultimately, this study highlights the potential of technology to transform English language education and argues for a balanced integration of digital and human-driven instruction.
