Abstract

This paper explores the implementation of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) strategies in the design of engaging and effective speaking practices for language learners. It highlights how the principles of CLT—such as interaction, real-life communication, and learner-centered instruction—can enhance learners’ speaking competence in both academic and real-world contexts. The study discusses practical classroom strategies like task-based learning, role-plays, information gap activities, and collaborative discussions. The effectiveness of these strategies is analyzed in terms of increasing student motivation, participation, and fluency. The paper concludes with pedagogical recommendations for educators seeking to foster communicative competence through dynamic and interactive speaking tasks.
