This article highlights the pedagogical views of Annemarie Schimmel (1922-2003), a German Islamic scholar and orientalist. The main directions of Annemarie Schimmel's pedagogical views are shown. The scientist's opinions on such topics as spiritual and moral development, education based on moral rules, the role of the teacher in the educational process, personal experience and practical training are analyzed.
