This article provides a broad and in-depth analysis of methods for developing logical thinking in preschool children on a scientific basis. The article, based on the “First Step” state curriculum of Uzbekistan, local empirical studies, international meta-analyses and longitudinal observations, details the components of logical thinking (analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, classification, establishment of cause-and-effect relationships), their age characteristics and development dynamics, as well as the most effective pedagogical methods and types of activities. The results show that the systematic and game-based development of logical thinking in preschool children has a significant positive impact not only on the intellectual, but also on the speech, emotional and social development of children, and creates a solid foundation for academic success in primary education. The article provides practical recommendations based on empirical evidence for educators, methodologists, parents and education system specialists.
