This scientific article analyzes modern views on the etiology of glomerulonephritis. In particular, the immunological mechanisms of the infectious theory (bacterial, viral, parasitic infections) and non-infectious theory (autoimmune, allergic, toxic, metabolic factors), the effect of these factors on glomerular structures and their participation in the pathogenesis of the disease are widely covered. Based on Uzbek and international scientific sources, the main directions of the etiology of glomerulonephritis, clinical manifestations, pathophysiological changes and their significance in medical practice are considered. The article analyzes the role of immune complexes, the complement system and inflammatory mediators in the development of glomerulonephritis. The results of the study show that identifying the etiological factors of glomerulonephritis is of primary importance in choosing a treatment strategy.
