Differentiation between blunt and sharp force injuries is a critical task in forensic medical practice, as it directly affects the reconstruction of traumatic events and medico-legal conclusions. Morphological indicators of bodily injuries provide objective evidence for identifying the type of mechanical force involved. This article examines the key morphological features used in forensic determination of blunt and sharp force injury mechanisms. Emphasis is placed on external and internal injury characteristics, tissue responses, and diagnostic criteria that allow reliable differentiation between these trauma types. The findings underline the importance of comprehensive morphological analysis in ensuring accuracy and consistency in forensic assessments.
