Abstract

Plagiarism remains a persistent concern in academic and scientific communication, posing significant challenges to intellectual integrity and scholarly credibility. The improper use of existing literature—whether intentional or accidental—undermines the fundamental values of academic discourse. In the contemporary research environment, characterized by extensive digital access to information, the prevention of plagiarism requires not only technical knowledge but also ethical awareness. This article explores the conceptual foundations of plagiarism, examines its prevalent forms in academic writing, and discusses practical strategies for its prevention. Emphasis is placed on citation accuracy, advanced paraphrasing practices, systematic source management, and the cultivation of original scholarly contribution.
