Abstract

This thesis analyzes the role of the BRICS alliance in shaping a new global governance model from the perspective of developing countries. Amid the decline of Western-centric liberal order and the rise of multipolarity, BRICS emerges as a strategic platform promoting political sovereignty, economic independence, and global equity. The study explores BRICS-led financial institutions, currency diversification efforts, technological cooperation, and its stance toward global institutions. It also critically examines internal divergences within BRICS and assesses its actual impact on global governance. The analysis concludes that BRICS offers developing nations strategic opportunities to advance their interests and contributes to the transition toward a more balanced and just international system.
