ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION
Keywords:

Environmental pollution has significant economic consequences that extend beyond ecological damage, affecting public health, productivity, and long-term economic sustainability. This paper examines the economic aspects of environmental pollution, focusing on direct and indirect costs, market and non-market impacts, and the role of environmental policies in reducing economic losses. Using secondary data from the World Bank, OECD, and recent academic studies, the analysis highlights the high economic burden of air, water, and soil pollution, as well as the potential benefits of preventive measures. The study concludes that integrating environmental protection into economic planning is essential for achieving sustainable development.
