This article explores the field of paremiology through both diachronic and synchronic approaches, offering an in-depth examination of the development and current state of proverbs within linguistic systems. The diachronic analysis sheds light on the historical evolution, semantic transformation, and cultural embedding of proverbs over time, while the synchronic aspect focuses on their present-day structure, function, and sociolinguistic relevance. By integrating both perspectives, the study aims to highlight the dynamic nature of paremiological units and their enduring role in shaping cultural identity and everyday communication. The research draws on diverse linguistic corpora, previous scholarly works, and comparative data to provide a nuanced understanding of proverb usage across time and space.
