Abstract

This article explores the significance of play-based learning as a fundamental approach in early childhood education. It highlights how purposeful play activities support children's cognitive growth, language development, emotional regulation, and social skills. Based on recent pedagogical studies and practical observations, the paper emphasizes the necessity of integrating structured and unstructured play into preschool curricula. The article also discusses the role of educators in facilitating meaningful play and the potential long-term benefits of play-based learning in preparing children for formal schooling.
