IMPROVING WRITING FLUENCY THROUGH JOURNAL WRITING PRACTICES

This article explores the effectiveness of journal writing as a pedagogical tool for enhancing writing fluency among EFL learners. Drawing on both theoretical insights and empirical findings, the study demonstrates how consistent journal writing supports the development of automaticity, reduces writing anxiety, and fosters a personal connection to the language. The paper also highlights how reflective and expressive writing promotes vocabulary expansion, syntactic complexity, and confidence in written communication. Practical implications for classroom implementation and learner motivation are also discussed.
