This article provides an overview of key assessment tools and diagnostic methods used to evaluate the severity of fractures, head injuries, and soft tissue injuries in pediatric patients. Traditional and emerging approaches—including radiography, ultrasound, clinical scoring systems (such as GCS, PECARN, CATCH, ISS), and parent-reported surveys—are discussed in terms of their diagnostic accuracy, usability, and relevance to pediatric trauma.
