Abstract

Metaphors are integral to human cognition and communication, reflecting the interplay between language and culture. This study examines the linguocultural dimensions of metaphors in English and Uzbek, highlighting how each language's metaphoric expressions mirror its unique cultural values, societal norms, and historical contexts. Through a comparative analysis, the paper explores the conceptualization of metaphors in both languages, emphasizing the influence of cultural frameworks on metaphorical expressions.
