Abstract

With the growing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into education, chatbots have emerged as innovative tools in English language teaching, particularly in enhancing conversation skills. This article explores how chatbots support language learners by offering consistent, real-time practice, reducing communication anxiety, and providing personalized feedback. Drawing on recent studies in educational technology and second language acquisition, the article highlights both the benefits and limitations of chatbot use in teaching English conversation. The findings suggest that while chatbots cannot replace human interaction, they serve as valuable supplementary tools in fostering speaking confidence, fluency, and learner autonomy.
