THE USE OF PROCESS WRITING APPROACH IN TEACHING COMPOSITION

The process writing approach has emerged as an effective pedagogical strategy aimed at enhancing students’ composition skills. This article examines the theoretical underpinnings of the process writing approach, traces its evolution, and its application in the classroom. Through a detailed analysis of various stages of this approach, the study highlights the effectiveness of process writing in fostering creativity, improving writing quality, and promoting learner autonomy. Illustrative examples from classroom practices illustrate how this approach facilitates student engagement and development of writing skills. Finally, recommendations are provided for educators seeking to implement process writing effectively.
