Abstract

This article investigates the contemporary reasons behind naming practices in English-speaking nations. It explores the influence of sociocultural factors, media trends, globalization, and identity formation on the selection of personal names. The study highlights how modern naming choices are shaped by both individual preferences and collective cultural dynamics. Through an analysis of recent sociolinguistic research, the paper reveals how names serve as indicators of social trends, personal identity, and cultural exchange in modern English-speaking societies.
