New technologies have brought about significant changes in the way we live, and the field of translation is no exception. When we understand technology’s role in translation correctly, it offers many advantages for both industry professionals and clients. The advancement of computer technology and the internet created a wide range of tools and convenience for every industry specifically started its road of exponential growth when technology stepped in. As technology expanded, so did our access to other corners of the world. This article discusses the impact of technological development like Computer-assisted translation tools, machine translation and their both sides: advantages and disadvantages. These technologies have increased quality and productivity in translation, supported international communication, and demonstrated the growing need for innovative technological solutions to the age-old problem of the language barrier. However, these tools also represent significant challenges and uncertainties for the translation profession and the industry.
