Abstract

This article explores the role of pseudonyms in social media, discussing their significance in protecting privacy, enabling self-expression, and fostering digital identity. While pseudonyms provide security, creative freedom, and open discussions, they also present challenges such as misinformation, cyberbullying, and lack of accountability. The article examines the ethical concerns associated with anonymity and suggests solutions like voluntary verification, improved content moderation, and digital literacy education. Achieving a balance between anonymity and responsibility is crucial for creating a safer and more inclusive online space.
