LEXICAL-SEMANTIC FEATURES OF ENGLISH MILITARY TERMS

Military terminology plays a crucial role in communication within defense and security organizations. These terms evolve alongside advancements in warfare, technology and international cooperation. The lexicon of military language is characterized by its precision, conciseness and adaptability. This study explores the lexical-semantic features of English military terms focusing on word formation processes, semantic classifications, polysemy, synonymy, and terminological stability. The analysis highlights how military terms reflect both historical and modern linguistic influences and how their meanings adapt to changing operational contexts.
